Credit Controller

To strengthen our team, we are looking for at the earliest possible date at our location in Madrid:

Bank postings and control of incoming and outgoing payments, reconciliation of bank balances and cash-matching:
- Allocation of payments to outstanding technical receivables and payables.
- Account(s) management: processing and reconciliation of open items in close collaboration with the Technical Service & Support Team (UW Assistance), Claims Department, and external partners (banks, UW intermediaries, and insurance companies).
- Analysis, monitoring, and processing of unallocated cash.
Collection of unpaid premiums (dunning process) and aged debt management.
Preparation and monitoring of technical payables.
Preparation and sending of coinsurance and reinsurance bordereaux and statements of account to insurance companies and/or insurance brokers.
Participation in introducing new technical accounting tools (IT) and development of internal processes/projects.
Documentation and archiving.

Ability to understand and process bank statements and payment statements from brokers and insurance companies, both on a leading and following basis.
Ability to understand premium-related taxes and surcharges (e.g. IPT, Consorcio).
Minimum experience of two years in a similar role in the insurance sector (industrial insurance for companies).
Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
Good language skills in Spanish and English.
Analytical, meticulous, and structured way of working, including good time and self-management.
Good communicator and team player, motivated to participate in further development of existing processes and new projects in an international environment.
