Credit Controller (m/f/d)
Let‘s talk about the role:
As a Credit Controller, you ensure that financial processes run smoothly and that all payment transactions are handled transparently, accurately, and on time. You act as the central interface between internal departments and external partners, maintaining a clear overview of outstanding receivables, risks, and processes at all times.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Processing receivables from brokers, insurers, and intermediaries in collaboration with underwriting and claims departments
- Posting incoming and outgoing payments based on statements and settlements
- Preparing system-based reports and statements
- Identifying and posting discrepancies, including related correspondence
- Conducting dunning procedures / pre-legal debt collection processes
- Performing monthly controlling and classification of default risks
- Recording and reconciling insurance-related bank accounts
- Contributing to process improvements and project work
Who are we looking for?
- Successfully completed commercial vocational training (e.g. industrial clerk, office management clerk, tax clerk), with relevant further qualification considered a plus
- Proven professional experience in accounting, particularly in accounts receivable
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Very good MS Office skills, especially Excel
- Analytical, precise, and structured way of working, combined with the ability to work independently and take responsibility
- Strong communication skills and assertiveness
- Reliability, high level of commitment, and team spirit
- Experience in the insurance industry is an advantage
What can you expect from us?
- 0-3 months: You will get to know the organization, make initial contacts and familiarize yourself with your tasks as part of your onboarding. A buddy will be available to you regularly during this time. At this time you will also have your first meeting with the HR department so that any questions or organizational matters can be clarified.
- 4-6 months: You become more and more familiar with your role and have completed the majority of your onboarding. Your buddy will also support you during this time. The second interview with HR is due.
- 7-12 months: You have all the information and tools you need to carry out your tasks confidently and independently.
