Insurance Operations Manager (m/f/d)
Main tasks
- Design, implement, and maintain governance and control frameworks across Insurance Operations, including checkpoints, escalation paths, and compliance measures aligned with financial, regulatory, and company standards.
- Integrate these governance requirements into daily policy administration processes to ensure smooth workflows, early detection of data issues, improved data quality, and consistent operational standards while minimizing inefficiencies.
- Align and embed governance requirements into key insurance systems, ensuring clear accountability, traceability, and consistency across platforms.
- Oversee Identity and Access Management (IAM) within Insurance Operations, ensuring secure role-based access, compliance with Segregation of Duties (SoD), and consistent integration across systems.
- Drive oversight across the full Policy-to-Cash (P2C) process, ensuring governance touchpoints are effectively managed across both central and local operations.
- Coordinate and align governance activities with local country operations and other central functions, ensuring consistency, collaboration, and harmonized implementation across MSIG Europe SE.
Your profile - Professional experience/ personality/ languages/software
- Degree in economics or comparable qualification.
- Extensive experience (5–10 years) in the practice and improvement of insurance operations and workflows (underwriting support / policy administration, claims, and reinsurance) at an insurance company (non-life).
- Coordination of projects/initiatives with various stakeholders (min. 2 years).
- Process expertise and solid understanding of relevant IT systems.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance and the underlying governance.
- Confident communication skills, customer service skills.
- Problem-solving skills and strategic vision.
- High degree of initiative and personal responsibility, proactive and "can-do" attitude.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluent English, advanced French and German skills required, other languages desirable.
- Willingness to travel (up to 20%).

Your first year with us:
- 0-3 months: You will get to know the organization, make initial contacts and familiarize yourself with your tasks as part of your onboarding. At this time you will also have your first meeting with the HR department so that any questions or organizational matters can be clarified.
- 4-6 months: You become more and more familiar with your role and have completed the majority of your onboarding. Your buddy will also support you during this time. The second interview with HR is due.
- 7-12 months: You have all the information and tools you need to carry out your tasks confidently and independently.
