Reinsurance Accounting Specialist (m/f/d)
Main tasks
- Preparation and reconciliation of reinsurance accounting documentation (e.g. statements and premium, claims and OS reserve reports).
- Preparation of cash claims instructions, XoL replenishment premiums and claims credits as well as compilation of supporting documents for submission to reinsurance brokers/reinsurers.
- Quality assurance of ceded reinsurance accounting data, identification and clarification of any resulting discrepancies.
- Internal interface between departments and sectors as well as externally with reinsurance brokers, reinsurers and the Head Office.
- Assist in the reconciliation and balancing of reinsurance accounts, including cash matching, open item analysis and aged debt analysis.
- Assisting with the clearing of historical open items, investigation and reconciliation with branches to clarify balances.
Your profile - Professional experience/ personality/ languages/software
- You have more than three years of professional experience in reinsurance.
- You also have sound expertise in finance and controlling - ideally with at least three years of practical experience.
- You communicate clearly and convincingly and act confidently and professionally - also in cross-team collaboration.
- Analytical thinking is one of your greatest strengths - you grasp complex relationships quickly and always keep an eye on solutions.
- You work confidently with Microsoft 365 in your day-to-day work.
- You are fluent in German and English at C1 level - written and spoken. Further language skills are a plus.
