To strengthen our People & Office Services team, we are looking for at the earliest possible date for our Corporate Center at our location in Cologne:

ESG Expert (m/f/d)

As the "Environmental, Social und Governance Expert" you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Key focal point of contact for all ESG related topics within MSIGEU.
  • Contribute to the overall internal ESG project and subject matter resource driving the implementation of a holistic ESG framework.
  • Analyse and evaluate current regulatory and legal frameworks, trends and other guidelines related to ESG.
  • Further development of the ESG strategy, related operational road maps and measures.
  • Coordination, implementation and development of company-wide sustainability initiatives to foster “sustainability” mindset amongst MSIGEU staff.
  • Develop and conduct ESG related trainings to boost sustainability awareness.
  • Act as knowledge champion in ESG related topics and ensure knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Establish and implement best practice processes, procedures, templates, specifications and guidelines for all related ESG activities.

Your profile - professional experience/personality/languages:

  • Completion of a Master's degree or diploma program (preferably in business administration, - Degree (preferably in business administration, economics with a focus on sustainability or management).
  • Relevant knowledge of ESG regulation (e.g. EU taxonomy, CSR or CSRD).
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in the field of ESG in an insurance company, bank or management consultancy.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Preferably knowledge of industrial insurance.
  • Very good knowledge of German and English.

The team that you would enrich consists of 23 employees and is responsible for People & Office Services in the Corporate Centre. You will also work in an interdisciplinary manner with many of the company's stakeholders. 

Your first year with us:
  • 0-3 months: You will get to know the organization, make initial contacts and familiarize yourself with your tasks as part of your onboarding. A buddy will be available to you regularly during this time. At this time you will also have your first meeting with the HR department so that any questions or organizational matters can be clarified.
  • 4-6 months: You become more and more familiar with your role and have completed the majority of your onboarding. Your buddy will also support you during this time. The second interview with HR is due.
  • 7-12 months: You have all the information and tools you need to carry out your tasks on ESG confidently and independently.
