Senior Risk Engineer (m/f/d)

Main tasks

  • Support the Head of Risk Engineering to build the Corporate Center Risk Engineering function: 
    • Develop standards, processes & tools to insure a consistent approach across risk engineering resource and markets. It includes but not limited to planning activities, risk assessment & grading system, desktop & surveys reports, Client account view, PML/NLE calculation.
    • Coordinate the sharing of technical knowledge, emerging risks, new technologies using Business Units (BUs) support.
    • Build the network management processes.
    • Support internal projects like Global International Program consolidating Risk Engineers Capabilities.
    • Participate in Group initiatives concerning Risk Engineering.
    • Animate the Risk Engineering community within MSIGEU.
    • Develop internal & external partnerships to support our needs.
    • Represent Corporate Center Risk Engineering function in the markets. 
  • Collaborate with Underwriting Lines of Business and support underwriting decision.
  • Support BUs for onboarding & training new engineers

Your profile - Professional experience/ personality/ languages/software

  • Completed studies of engineering, preferred process or safety engineering, specialized in fire prevention and/or machinery.
  • Experience in the field of risk engineering, minimum 5 years.
  • Ability to work in a matrix structure.
  • Experience in project management appreciated.
  • High level of self-motivation, resilience and reliability as well as willingness to travel.
  • Ability for business acumen and entrepreneurial responsibility.
  • Negotiating skills and assertiveness.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to assess potential risks and loss scenarios based on appropriate documentation.
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Fluent language knowledge in English.
  • German or French language skills preferred.
