Senior Underwriter Engineering (m/f/d) - Corporate Center
Main tasks
- Support the CUO Engineering to insure development and profitability of the portfolio.
- Develop the UW Strategy, guidelines, standards, processes and tools to support this goal.
- Coordinate with the different BUs (Business Units) the UW actions and portfolio steering.
- Manage the referral business with high UW authority.
- Participate in the business reviews of the BUs portfolio.
- Support the team in managing Cat accumulation, reinsurance interaction and treaty renewal with RI Department.
- Make portfolio analysis and/or account analysis when necessary.
- Participate in some expert groups internally or externally.
- Data and process analysis: identification, management and communication of requirements from and to the line of business.
- Interact with the other functions eg. CUOs lines of business teams, Risk Engineering Function, claims.
- Be a representative of the Corporate Center CUO Eng. In the markets.
- Support the planning processes and follow up the P&L results with the CUO Team.
- Participate in internal projects and CUO All lines priorities if needed.
Your profile - Professional experience/ personality/ languages/software
- Completed commercial, administrative degree and/or technical degree.
- Extensive professional experience with a good track record in Underwriting Engineering, minimum 5 years.
- Experience with different markets appreciated.
- Experience with handling and development of technical guidelines.
- Technical Underwriting skills specifically in Engineeing line of business.
- Portfolio steering, project management.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment and associated skills.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Team player with the ability to drive initiatives.
- Very good knowledge of English (Business fluent) and German or French.
