Senior Underwriter Engineering (m/f/d) - Region Germany

To strengthen our team, we are looking for at the earliest possible date for our Region Germany at our location in Cologne:

Acquisition of new business and support of existing connections.
Profit-oriented underwriting
- Execution of risk evaluation
- Calculation of the risk-related demand premium
- Execution of risk inspections
- Preparation and negotiation of offers
- Review and negotiation of wordings
- Portfolio monitoring with regard to economic requirements
Development of policy concepts and implementation of international programs as a lead insurer.
Participation in internal and cross-divisional acquisition planning and measures.
Initiation and participation in process improvements.
Take over of special tasks, participation and leading of projects related to Underwriting.
Representation of Underwriting Engineering in internal and external events.
Support developing the Lines of Business strategy and anticipating technical and economic developments of the market as well for measures of the portfolio steering.
Support of brokers, affiliated agents and corporate clients.

Degree in engineering and/or economics with particular technical interest and understanding.
Many years of experience and detailed knowledge in corporate insurance business.
Experience in leading international insurance programs.
High self-motivation and ability to work under pressure.
Strong ability to think and act entrepreneurial along with decision-making capability.
Professional leadership skills.
Preferably experience in leading projects or sub-projects in the insurance environment.
Willingness to travel.
High ability to cooperate and work in a team.
Familiar within all common MS office products.
Very good German and good English language skills.
